From outreach ministries in our neighborhood and around the world, to fellowship groups and youth and family programs, to music and worship ministries, there are opportunities for everyone to be a part of the mission and ministry that take place in our congregation all week long.

 OUR MISSION

We are called to follow Jesus Christ, responding as:

 WITNESSES to the good news of the Gospel;

STEWARDS of the gifts God has entrusted to us; and,

MINISTERS to those in need of God's love, justice, and mercy.

We are confident that there is yet more truth and light to break forth from God's holy word and pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us in making the presence of the Risen Christ known throughout the world.

That they may all be one. [John 17:21]

This motto of the United Church of Christ (UCC) points to our future in God's Kingdom. A uniting church where there is, "in essentials unity, in non-essentials diversity, in all things charity." Our strength comes from our Congregational roots:

  • Fidelity to Scripture
  • Committment to Discipleship
  • Independence of the Local Congregation

We seek neither an uncritical acceptance of any point of view, nor rigid formulation of doctrine. But in that freedom, we are called to live in a loving, covenantal relationship with one another.

We read the Bible seriously if not literally. We recognize that the Bible, though written in specific historical times and places, still speaks to us in our present condition. Not limited by past interpretations, we read it with the expectation of new insights and God's help for living today.

In the words of a forebearer of the Congregational tradition, "There is yet more light and truth to break forth from God's holy word."
